My Life is an Adventure
By Susan Ellis of Keylifejourneys
My life is an adventure. I purposely make it that way. Oh I know I'm lucky enough to do many of the things I desire; it has not always been that way. As a kid I was a bit of an outsider; having spent several years in hospital and physically looking a bit different to most people I was delayed in socializing. I spent much time alone until my teenage years when I developed some close school friendships. Now I have the best of both worlds. I love being by myself creating, building, fantasizing and learning to understand myself and the universe. On the other hand I enjoy a one on one encounter with others but can also function well in groups. When talking about things I feel sure of, I can lecture to large groups of people without fear.
There is a part of me that loves adventure. I love exploration, challenging myself to encounter the unknown. The year is not yet over and 4 challenges have either been completed or are in progress.
The Adventure in Antarctica in February/March 2008 was the first this year. I am still telling the story of the events and spiritual growth of that trip on my new blog accessed from this page at A Soul Journey Blog. The picture on the button and blog header was made from photos I took on Deception Island in the South Shetlands during my first shore landing. Later while on South Georgia I was up close to thousands of King Penguins. One image I took is now the button and header for the Caregiver Support Now Blog you can see on the right panel.

The second adventure was the putting into reality a fantasy some time in the making. That was to have a waterfall in my garden. Although I started digging in the fall of 2007, water flowed over my rocks and pebbles this summer. It was a thrill to publicly show it off to friends at my annual Canada Day BBQ. This is its first incarnation. Next year it will have a different look. I've already written about it on a previous blog and will be doing so in more detail in my new blog, accessed from this page called Waterfalls and Garden Blog. Part of the header for that blog is a photo of apricot blossom. In the first entry I share the story of the apricot tree in my garden.

The third adventure is a business opportunity and a way to ensure the maintenance of my good health. My business partner Kristin and I are selling Zrii. This is a nutritional beverage which has been endorsed by Deepak Chopra. It is made from seven fruits and herbs using the wisdom of Ayurveda, which translated from the Sanskrit, means The Science or Wisdom of Life. You will see a button on the right to learn more about it. This is also a fabulous business opportunity and you can learn about the benefits of marketing by clicking here Another blog which I have just started writing, The Health Expert Site Blog is related to Zrii.
The fourth adventure is to learn a new skill in depth - that of internet marketing. Over the years with the Key Life Journeys website I have learned about linking and key words and generating leads etc. But now I am learning about Affiliates, widgets, ftp and meta tags etc. Oh what a steep learning curve! Frustration lurks on every page. Oh the challenge of it!!!
What joy to be writing about it. As I do I look out through my window into the garden and down at the bottom of the garden is the veggie patch. I can see a pile of roots and surplus leaves from leeks. The leeks are the last vegetable I harvest in the year. A couple of weeks ago I went to dig them up and the ground had frozen and they were firmly fixed. I had to wait. Earlier this week the temperature rose and out to the garden I went. The earth relented and gave me my plants. They are now in my freezer waiting to be added to my winter stews.
